Israel buying $7.4 billion worth of US arms

New Trump Administration will okay the sale of thousands of US bombs and missiles to Israel.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress Friday that Israel intends to purchase thousands of AGM-114 Hellfire Air-to-Ground Missiles from Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), and thousands more bombs from a series of US defense contractors — Boeing (NYSE: BA), L3Harris (NYSE: LHX), Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), and also the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant in McAlester, OK.

Israel’s shopping list includes:

3,000 AGM-114 Hellfire Air-to-Ground Missiles
2,166 GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs
2,800 MK 82 General Purpose 500-pound bombs
17,479 KMU-556E/B and similar Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) Guidance Kits
and 17,475 FMU-152A/B fuzes.

Lockheed stands to receive $660 million for the Hellfires, assuming Congress approves the sale. Boeing’s, L3Harris’s, and Northrop’s take could be significantly larger, as the bombs purchase is valued at $6.75 billion in total.
