Raytheon stands to receive $900 million from the sale.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress Friday that Japan intends to purchase as many as 150 SM-6 (Standard Missile-6) missiles for ballistic defense.

The Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) plans to deploy the Standard Missiles from current and future AEGIS Weapon System (AWS)-equipped surface combatants.

RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX) is named principal contractor on the sale, which will be worth $900 million if approved by Congress.
