Korea buys F-15K upgrades from Boeing, others

Three U.S. defense contractors stand to win $6.2 billion in new revenue from the sale.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress Tuesday that the Republic of Korea (South Korea) intends to purchase equipment and services to upgrade its F-15K aircraft fleet.

The Koreans plan to purchase:
Advanced Display Core Processor II (ADCP II) mission system computers
AN/APG-82(v)1 Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA) radars
AN/ALQ-250 Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) electronic warfare (EW) suites, and related equipment.

Principal contractors on the sale include BAE Systems (OTC: BAESY), Boeing (NYSE: BA), and RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX), which would split $6.2 billion in revenue if this sale is approved by Congress.
