Netherlands buying Sidewinder missiles from RTX Corp

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress Friday that the Netherlands intend to purchase hundreds of AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II Missiles for use on their F-16 and F-35 fighter jets.

The Dutch plan to purchase:
246 AIM-9X Sidewinder Block II tactical missiles
6 AIM-9X Block II sidewinder captive air training missiles (CATM)
2 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder special air training missiles
14 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder tactical guidance units; and
2 AIM-9X Block II Sidewinder CATM guidance.

RTX Corporation (NYSE: RTX) is named principal contractor on the sale, which will be worth $691 million if approved by Congress.
