Top 5 Defense Contracts of January 8

Wednesday was a very big day for Navy contracts.

Today’s top 5

In today’s top contract, the Navy states it has qualified “1,023 businesses in multiple locations across 43 of the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, and Washington, D.C.” to bid on $5 billion in contracts, annually, to support R&D into “new and existing Naval capabilities and systems.”

It’s a huge amount of money to be allocated for very vague projects, and so far the Navy isn’t saying who exactly is on the list of “1,023 businesses.”
