2 Top Defense Contracts from February 24

Today’s top contracts

Not a whole lot of individual contracts awarded on Monday, but there was two big umbrella contracts, so I’ll focus on those today.

Valued at $1.5 billion, a USAF contract authorizes 27 separate companies to compete for task order awards to provide architect and engineering services. Most, but not all of the companies are small and not publicly traded. Among those that will interest investors are:

Aecom (NYSE: ACM)
Jacobs Solutions (NYSE: J)
Leidos (NYSE: LDOS)
Tetra Tech (Nasdaq: TTEK)

Separately, a more ambiguous $249 million award from the Navy will be split among 41 separate companies bidding to provide “support services at multiple classification levels.” The big winners here include:

BAE Systems (OTC: BAESY)
Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH)
KBR (NYSE: KBR)
